Dead Peasants

Claims about Walmart benefiting from Corporate-Owned Life Insurance policies are inaccurate and out of date.

Corporate-Owned Life Insurance policies became popular in the mid-1980s, and have been used by many leading companies such as AT&T, Coke, Hershey, JPMorgan Chase and Walt Disney.

Walmart has not participated in Corporate-Owned Life Insurance policies in over a decade and when it did participate, the death benefit went to the associate’s family, not to Walmart.
